GR ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ ὁπότε ἀπεδίδρασκεν ἀπὸ προσώπου Αβεσσαλωμ τοῦ υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ
LA Psalmus David, cum fugeret a facie Absalom filii sui.
EN The psalm of David when he fled from the face of his son Absalom.

GR κύριε τί ἐπληθύνθησαν οἱ θλίβοντές με πολλοὶ ἐπανίστανται ἐπ’ ἐμέ
LA Domine, quid multiplicati sunt qui tribulant me? Multi insurgunt adversum me;
EN Why, O Lord, are they multiplied that afflict me? many are they who rise up against me.

GR πολλοὶ λέγουσιν τῇ ψυχῇ μου οὐκ ἔστιν σωτηρία αὐτῷ ἐν τῷ θεῷ αὐτοῦ διάψαλμα
LA multi dicunt animæ meæ: Non est salus ipsi in Deo ejus.
EN Many say to my soul: There is no salvation for him in his God.

GR σὺ δέ κύριε ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου εἶ δόξα μου καὶ ὑψῶν τὴν κεφαλήν μου
LA Tu autem Domine, susceptor meus es, gloria mea, et exaltans caput meum.
EN But you, O Lord, are my protector, my glory, and the lifter up of my head.

GR φωνῇ μου πρὸς κύριον ἐκέκραξα καὶ ἐπήκουσέν μου ἐξ ὄρους ἁγίου αὐτοῦ διάψαλμα
LA Voce mea ad Dominum clamavi; et exaudivit me de monte sancto suo.
EN I have cried to the Lord with my voice: and he has heard me from his holy hill.

GR ἐγὼ ἐκοιμήθην καὶ ὕπνωσα ἐξηγέρθην ὅτι κύριος ἀντιλήμψεταί μου
LA Ego dormivi, et soporatus sum; et exsurrexi, quia Dominus suscepit me.
EN I have slept and have taken my rest: and I have risen up, because the Lord has protected me.

GR οὐ φοβηθήσομαι ἀπὸ μυριάδων λαοῦ τῶν κύκλῳ συνεπιτιθεμένων μοι
LA Non timebo millia populi circumdantis me. Exsurge, Domine; salvum me fac, Deus meus.
EN I will not fear thousands of the people surrounding me: arise, O Lord; save me, O my God.

GR ἀνάστα κύριε σῶσόν με ὁ θεός μου ὅτι σὺ ἐπάταξας πάντας τοὺς ἐχθραίνοντάς μοι ματαίως ὀδόντας ἁμαρτωλῶν συνέτριψας
LA Quoniam tu percussisti omnes adversantes mihi sine causa; dentes peccatorum contrivisti.
EN For you have struck all them who are my adversaries without cause: you have broken the teeth of sinners.

GR τοῦ κυρίου ἡ σωτηρία καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν σου ἡ εὐλογία σου
LA Domini est salus; et super populum tuum benedictio tua.
EN Salvation is of the Lord: and your blessing is upon your people.
